Earrings are back for Spring and their bigger is better attitude demands a whole new dress code.

Designers, in their Spring 2009 Collections, massively flaunted oversized earrings - Zac Posen with his massive chandelier earrings, Marni giant earrings, Louis Vuitton with unusual tribal hoops, Ralph Lauren in ethnic style. My personal favourite was Ralph Lauren.

The traditional black and white spots were mixed with multi-colored dots - there were cheery retro circles of all sizes at Michael Kors, floaty colourful psychedelic patterns at Jaeger, Marni’s Consuelo Castiglioni turned the pattern into lace skirts, House of Holland gave an interesting twist with large, gaping polka dots in rank and file printed on or cut out on the entire jean, and Giles Deacon offered smudged spots on shift dresses.
